About Rosenberg Copenhagen
About Rosenberg Copenhagen
Rosenberg Copenhagen designs textile patterns and shapes them for everyday objects, clothing and works of art, with a view to long-lasting aesthetics and function.
The collection is designed and sewn locally at the studio in Nørrebro in Copenhagen, with the most environmentally friendly materials possible.
Behind RosenbergCph is me, Anne Rosenberg, who designs and creates the collection.
Everyday objects and clothing are primarily sewn to order - expect between one and two weeks of production time.
Under Production and materials you can read more about which materials I use, how they are produced and how the products are made.
The history of Rosenberg Copenhagen
RosenbergCph was established in the spring of 2008.
In the period 2008 - 2019, RosenbergCph sold primarily to other companies, in the form of dealers. Abroad, I established long-term collaborations with agents and wholesalers, who, among others, in Japan, were responsible for selling my designs to a Japanese audience.
RosenbergCph's textiles have always been produced in Denmark and the EU. But with the desire for an even more sustainable and flexible production and a working life where craftsmanship and art could take up more space, I chose in 2023 to move all sewing work to the studio in Copenhagen and from now on will primarily sell directly to private individuals.
About Anne Rosenberg
Since 2004 I have worked as a designer with textiles as my primary material.
I am a self-taught designer and originally graduated with a Master of Arts in Religious and Art History from the University of Copenhagen in 1998. My university studies gave me an understanding and insight into culture and design that I still draw on today.
Before I established RosenbergCph, I was co-founder and partner in the textile design company Kragh Rosenberg from 2004 to 2008.
